Pex Tools
If you are working with this material there are several pex tools designed to make your insulation go quicker and easier. Using a tube coiler allows the ease of uncoiling the pex tubing. Once the tube is uncoiled it is easier to layout and run under the slab before the concrete is placed. There is a special tube cutter that allows the smooth and accurate cutting of the pex tube. The proper tube cutter ensures that the connection will not leak.

Once the tube is cut to the proper length then a connection has to be made. Using a PEX tube expander allows the proper insertion of the connector into the tube. The connection is usually accomplished with a crimper or air compression. The crimpers allow the fittings to be properly installed without creating a leak. With air compression to form the clamp to the connection special fitting are used.
